McLaren McL 6GT manual V8 makes public debut, due in 2028
Car and Driver reports a price in the range of $1.5 million, while used McLaren 750S, Artura and 765LT models are listed for sale now.
McLaren put its manual-transmission V8 McL 6GT in front of the public for the first time at the 2026 Concours at Wynn Las Vegas, which ran Oct. 29 through Nov. 2, according to Autoblog and autoevolution. Both say production is due in 2028. Autoevolution adds that a private unveiling took place during Monterey Car Week in August.
McLaren's model page describes a mid-mounted V8 paired with a six-speed manual that sends power to the rear wheels. Autoblog says no McLaren road car has had a true manual since the McLaren F1 reached the market in 1992.
Car and Driver reports that Collins said the price will be in the range of $1.5 million.
Carbon tub, manual shifter, hydraulic steering
Autoblog says the McL 6GT uses a carbon-fiber monocoque with all-carbon bodywork. Steering is hydraulically assisted, the controls are knurled machined aluminum, and the gear lever is tuned for shift feel and throw.
The design draws on the M6GT, a road car Bruce McLaren started developing in the late 1960s, and on the M6A Can-Am racer. Autoevolution says McLaren places the car beyond its core supercar line and its newly announced SUV, and calls it highly exclusive.
What McLaren hasn't said
Power, performance and weight figures are not yet known, and neither are exact US delivery dates, final specifications, trim or configuration details, or how the roughly 500 cars will be allocated.

Arturas ask far less than 750S models
The Artura rates cool, with 78 listings asking a median of $185,000, and 24 of them rate as great or good deals. The cheapest Artura asks $150,000.
Asking prices for comparable Arturas held steady between June 2026 and October 2026.
