Ferrari says its first EV, the Luce, is sold out for 2027

Customers ordering now wait a year for delivery, but Ferrari has not said how many Luces it will build, and the US price is still unconfirmed.

Ferrari says the Luce, its first all-electric car, is already sold out for 2027. CEO Benedetto Vigna said on Tuesday's third-quarter earnings call, according to InsideEVs, that anyone who orders now would wait a year for delivery.

"The Luce that we plan to sell next year basically are all allocated", Vigna said. He also said Ferrari has no critical issues on either production or demand.

The Luce's design has drawn criticism. Vigna said: "We see when and how the perception changes when the people drive the car".

The Luce is a five-seat, four-motor Ferrari

Ferrari says the Luce was designed with Jony Ive's LoveFrom. It is the brand's first five-seat car and sits higher than a traditional Ferrari.

The company quotes four motors, one at each wheel, for 1,035 horsepower and 730 pound-feet of torque, and a 62 mph time of 2.5 seconds.

The battery holds 112 kilowatt-hours in SK On pouch cells. Ferrari rates range at 329 miles on the European WLTP test and peak charging at 350 kilowatts.

Price and delivery dates are still open

Reuters reported a price of €550,000 when the Luce was unveiled in May, but sources differ on the exact US price, so it is not settled. Ferrari has not said how many Luces it plans to build for 2027, the EPA range rating is not out, and exact US delivery dates are not known. The Reuters report expects first deliveries to begin in the fourth quarter.
