A hot market where cuts stay small

Our market temperature for the Cayman reads hot. The typical car leaves the market 48 days after it is first listed, and every 718 Cayman for sale, 190 in all, would last 2.3 months at the recent pace of cars leaving. Sellers added 102 new listings in the last 30 days.

Price cuts are the exception. Just 18% of cars had one in the last 90 days, and the median cut was 1.8%.

Trim and miles set the price

A Cayman is not one price. Base cars, the most common trim at 77 listings, have a median asking price of $54,100. The 41 GT4 RS cars have a median of $215,000, and the cheapest 718 Caymans start at $38,500.

Model year matters too. A 2021 is typically listed at about 83% of a 2025's price, same trim and miles. Each extra 1,000 miles knocks about $500 off a car's value.

53 Cayman deals sit below fair value

By our ratings, 21 of the 190 Caymans are great deals and 32 are good deals. Seventy are priced over fair value, so it is worth checking any asking price against the 718 Cayman price guide.

The cheapest of the three cars shown is a red 2021 Cayman S with 48,102 miles in Houston, Texas, listed at $55,628, about $14,000 under its fair value. It has been listed 32 days.

A black 2025 Cayman S with 256 miles in Ewing, New Jersey, asks $88,790, about $14,500 under fair value. It has been listed 154 days and cut twice, most recently Oct. 1.

The priciest is a Guards Red 2023 GT4 with 1,586 miles in Akron, Ohio, priced at $144,411, about $23,000 under fair value. It has been listed 261 days and cut four times. At that length of time, it is worth asking for a lower price.
